Mount Prospect Photography Studio — It’s Finally Taking Shape

What a difference a few weeks can make.

The last time I shared an update, my new Mount Prospect photography studio was still very much a construction zone. There were unfinished walls, ladders, exposed areas, construction dust, and what felt like an endless list of things still waiting to be done.

And now… I can finally see the studio I imagined beginning to come together.

From Construction Zone to Photography Studio

The biggest changes are finally visible. The new flooring is in, the walls are finished and painted, and the lighting is installed. After seeing this space torn apart for so long, watching it become bright, clean and finished feels incredible.

There are still ladders, boxes and plenty of work happening behind the scenes, but it finally feels less like a construction site and more like the future home of Heartwritten Photography.

The Details Are Coming Together

Even the bathroom received a complete transformation. What started as another construction project is now becoming a clean, bright and comfortable space for my clients.

It may be a small part of the studio, but every detail matters when creating a space where families can feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.

Unpacking & Making It Feel Like Home

And then came the unpacking! 🤍

After months of having everything packed away, my newborn wraps, blankets, outfits, props and tiny accessories are finally finding their place in the new studio.

Putting the closet together and seeing everything organized again has been one of those moments that makes the move feel real. There are still plenty of boxes left to unpack, but little by little, Heartwritten Photography is starting to feel like home again.

It’s Starting to Feel Like Home 🤍

There is still more unpacking, organizing and decorating ahead, but this space has already come so far.

What started with open ceilings, unfinished walls and construction dust is finally becoming the warm, peaceful Mount Prospect photography studio I imagined from the beginning.

Soon these empty walls will be filled with newborn snuggles, growing families, expecting mothers and so many beautiful memories.

For now, I’m enjoying watching each little piece find its place.

A Studio Designed With Families in Mind

This new space was designed with more than beautiful photographs in mind. I wanted to create a studio where families can slow down, settle in and feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.

For newborn sessions, parents will have a peaceful place to relax while I carefully photograph their baby, with all of my wraps, blankets, outfits and props organized and ready nearby. For maternity sessions, the studio gives us plenty of room to create everything from simple, timeless portraits to more styled looks. And for family sessions, there is space to move, play and capture those natural moments in between.

Creating this Mount Prospect photography studio has been a much bigger project than I originally imagined, but seeing everything come together makes every long day, every decision and every box completely worth it.

The next studio update might just be my favorite one yet. 🤍

Stay tuned — the finishing touches are coming next.
