Pick a date and time for your family photos in the booking system, sign a short agreement, and pay the retainer. You will receive an instant confirmation in your inbox – and don’t worry, I won’t let you forget your upcoming date!
02 Get Ready (The Easy Way)
To ensure a professional family photoshoot look, I’ll email you a quick prep guide. This includes tips on clothing, a style guide to help plan outfits, and details on parking. We’ll discuss what colors tend to photograph best (usually solid colors) and what to bring.
03 Enjoy the milestone
Your family photoshoot is designed to be fun and easygoing, especially for kids. There’s time for play, laughter, creative ideas, baby breaks, and cozy time in mom’s arms. The process is simple. A Signature Session lets you choose the day and time that works best for you. To reserve your family Photo session, simply pick a date and time in the booking system, sign the short agreement, and pay the retainer. An instant confirmation will land in your inbox, so your Photo session is secured and your Photo session planning can begin.
You don’t need to stress about styling. Each package includes a what-to-wear guide with helpful tips and outfit inspiration. Solid colors work best, and I’ll guide you through outfits that photograph beautifully and feel comfortable. If you’re coming to the studio, you’ll find flowing dresses and elegant fabrics available – perfect outfits that add softness and movement to your photos.
I do both! While I love classic Photo, I also love lifestyle sessions that capture emotion and connection. I’ll encourage you to play, hug, and laugh with your children to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere. These moments allow me to capture the love and personality of your family in a natural Photo, full of connection and another layer of fun.
We can shoot in the familiar surroundings of your own home, meet at a local park or beach in Chicago, or come to my cozy studio. The studio is designed with warmth and features changing areas, refreshments, and a cozy couch for your spouse or family to relax – perfect for holding your baby in your arms while I capture a meaningful Photo.
Yes. I am a mother to three girls and have been photographing children for over 10 years. Younger kids and toddlers can be unpredictable, but I have plenty of ideas to keep them engaged. For little kids, there is often a small reward for good behavior, and sometimes a quick peek behind the camera makes it extra fun for them.
I hear this often! Please tell your spouse not to worry. I work quickly and keep the mood light. We won’t spend hours posing stiffly. My goal is to ensure you all have a great time, and usually even the most reluctant family members leave saying, “That wasn’t bad at all!”
Each package includes digital family photos from your session and examples of previous sessions so you know exactly what to expect. If you’d like, additional images and family portraits for hanging on your walls can be purchased to complete your final Photo collection.
